Our Story
By Women, For Women is a non-profit organisation on a mission to amplify Latter-day Saint women’s voices, stories and impact. We are fostering a network and community of support amongst Latter-day Saint women in Europe so they can connect and navigate faith within their various cultures, communities and families.
BWFW was created by a group of Latter-day Saint women in Europe who recognised the need to expand the experiences and stories of Latter-day Saint women beyond an American narrative. In their own lives, these founding members were surrounded by women from across the globe whom each wore womanhood in their own individual and beautiful way. At the height of a worldwide pandemic in the summer of 2020, they met on Zoom and began discussions on creating a shared space for the voices of Latter-day Saint women in Europe.
Almost two years later, BWFW has expanded into a large and diverse community of women who make our programmes and existence a reality.
In the fall of 2021, BWFW released an online Resource Centre (that will be expanded in May 2022) and in March 2022 launched their first gallery of stories of European Latter-day Saint women’s voices - past and present. In April 2022, BWFW is opening up for a Europe-wide membership and is looking forward to enjoying Book Clubs, Dialogue Nights, a community forum and further storytelling with women across Europe. As the pandemic and world situation allow, BWFW looks to host regional conferences and events throughout Europe.
Meet the Team
Past Builders.
By Women, For Women is an ever-evolving organisation. We’re standing on the shoulders of thousands of hours of work, including from our “past builders”: volunteers, staff, interns, board members and advisors who have moved on from their work with By Women, For Women. We’d like to recognise all those who have made By Women, For Women into what it is today.
